Best fish finder under $200?

I fish the Mississippi River for catfish and fish lakes for panfish. What would be my best choice for a fish/depth finder for under $200. Does muddy, fast moving water pose problems with fish finders? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

John

Howdy, Wetbuck.

Check out the Eagle FishEasy and TriFinder. I've had good luck with Eagles and Lowrances.

Good luck. :)

Thanks for the reply JB. I have been eyeballing both of those models.

Does fast current and muddy water cause problems for fish finders?

John

Howdy, WB.

I've had no problems with muddy or fast water. Unless there is a lot of sand and other solid material swirling about you should have no problems.

Good luck. :)
