For someone like me on a limited budget? Less than $200-250 or so if possible.

I will be using it mostly on lakes 35,000 acres and smaller and inshore along the Hatteras and in the Pamlico sound.

I love to watch "Ship Shape TV" but my budget range of modifications and additions is far from their's.:%

Get the Eagle fishmark 320. This unit has the specs of the $300 Lowrance units at a price of $150.

I bought a pair of Eagle Cuda 168 units, either from here or Cabellas for $99 ea. Work great for the price. Nice transducer for mounting to the trolling motor, transom, or internally. Has depth, fish pictures, and temp. One thing I like about it is it's ability to hold onto the bottom even at 50 mph.

Lowrance X125
Cabelas has them on a special purchase right now for $229.
Big screen, built in flasher mode, and a ton of features, easy to use too.
Got mine last week.

Try a Bottom Line Tournament 480 Max, they are on sale for 100 bucks at Bass Pro. Its a decent unit that works well for the money.
