I have the Seloc and Clymers. I favor the Clymers. The Seloc's advice seems to be very practical but is too general for me. The Clymers is more likely to have a picture or figure that covers a engine of similar hp to yours. It is more comprehensive. <br /><br />Both suffer from a need to cover so many different engines that sometimes it is difficult to find the section that covers your engine. <br /><br />While I don't have the manuals in front of me, the sections on the carbs describe 1) removal, 2) disassembly/reassembly, and 3) adjustments. There is a bit of advice about how to clean and what to be sure to replace. There is not much wisdom, for example, about problem areas to focus on that this forum is so good for. <br /><br />I, also, wonder whether I should add, sight unseen, the OMC service manual to my growing library.
