Re: Best bait?
After a good rain, the water's muddy bacause of all the ground washing into the water.... thus, the fish are in a frenzy eating worms. Nightcrawlers are always a good Smallie bait in any water condition, but the bite is ON after it rains. Problem being plentiful food, of course. Lindy rig a fat crawler on a floating harness, and drag the bottom ever so slowly. Depending on what species are in the water you're fishing, this method will work great for many - Walleye & Smallies especially.
