Hi, I have a problem with my Bennet Trim Tabs with a V351 pump. They to are original to the boat in 2001 I believe. The pump only works on Bow Up, both tabs. When I press bow down I can hear the solenoid clicking bit the pump doesn’t go. I’ve followed other fault finding tips on here. When I put a hot wire onto the pump I have the same results. Has anyone had this issue, is it fixable or am I up for another pump?

You have a problem with the helm control

One pump controls both

bow up wire the pump runs, bow down it doesn’t

Try the test in the link Dingbat posted on page 2 and paragraph 2 with a jumper wire

I disconnected the helm control and the pump
only works one way when putting a hot wire directly to the pump wires.

Try the test in the link Dingbat posted on page 2 and paragraph 2 with a jumper wire

I’ll try that, I didn’t use a jumper wire. Thanks I’ll let you know.
