Have a 2005 Johnson 150PLSO. Manual says to lube starter bendix. Purchased johnsons bendix lube to do it but seen some where that timing sensor is on flywheel cover? Do i Need special tools or method? Does cover need to be removed or starter to get to bendix?

Re: Bendix Lubing

The bendix is the thingy on the top of your starter motor with the spring and the small gear that flies up to turn the flywheel. Put the lube on the shaft and gear and all will be well. Very light grease works just as well.
