Sorry to say you are correct. You must remove an engine mount to replace belts. Do yourself a favor an buy two belts. When you replace the old one put the new one around the mount and use a zip tie to hold it away from anything. You will thank yourself next time the belt breaks.<br />Good luck-
It's Not that big a Deal.......<br />On the portside of the engine mount, Remove the 2 bolts, Slide out the little spacer-block, Change belt, reinstall the block,+ bolts.... Your done....
Thanks for the reply's. I still had to pry the mount back away from the pulley just to get the belt between the two. What a pain. I'm glad my trucks not that difficult to change
