I just bought an 18' Belmont tri-hull without doing any research now after the fact I cannot find any info on the company. the nameplate says Belmont, belmont blvd Fresno Ca. does anyone know the history or quality of these boats, I assume they are no longer building boats. It is a fishing ski boat with no seats in front of boat just a storage compartment and in the center of the boat another storage compartment in the center of the floor it has an omc inboard, outboard with a chevy v-6 a short top that you can stand under and back to back seats. It's going to make a great fishing boat the interior is coated with a type of rhino liner so it should wash down easily. any comments appreciated.

Re: Belmont Tri-hull boats

My new to me boat is not as pretty as the ones on the Bellview web site they have changed over the years, it is exactly what I have been looking for I'm not sure about the tri-hull though, I have taken it out in the bay twice now and it handles the chop better than my old 12' valco not saying much for the old valco. but better than I have been told tri-hulls would do. it does not bang like a flat bottemed boat anyway. I'm trying to figure out how to trim it out without much luck I never had that to deal with before and don't quite understand how it works but it seems when starting out It works better with the trim down and running at slow speeds but after plaining if it is up all the way it steers better. anyway I guess I will learn soon enough. Thanks for your replys I e-mailed the factory and asked sales how many of these boats they mande in 81 and they never responded.
