Thank you gentlemen. Bondo, this has been my first year with the boat but I'm told the bellows are now 3 years old, one of which the boat sat dry. Currently they appear in very good shape but signs of deterioration once I have it apart will see them changed. Shift cables will be replaced during this operation as I find the shifting stiff, but that's for another post...
Hmmmm. My bellows, gimbal bearing, uni-joints and shift cable are now into their 14th year. I check them every 6 months, and still not even the first inkling of any age or wear related deterioration. And that's the same story for all my customers and friends. Use genuine parts and they last. Use GLM, Sierra, Mallory, or any of a host of other reject parts and you're going to get premature failure.
