not knowing what your working on makes it difficult but I guess you mean the hinge pins on the Alpha and Bravo drive. There is a special tool 12 point but sometimes
a 1/2 inch allen wrench and some oxy/acetylene will loosen the loc-tite to remove the pins.

Ayuh,.... So long as ya heat the inner end of the pins to soften the loc-tite, before turnin' 'em, ya won't have any problems,...

I have only ever used the tool, never bothered with heating (too much risk of melting the synthane washers between the bell housing and the gimbal ring IMHO)... Just put the tool in with a sturdy ring spanner on it and pull (or push) until it loosens out... As I said, never (in 20 years) used a red spanner on a hinge pin....

Ayuh,.... My 1st bellhousin' pull, my concern was catchin' the bellows a Blaze,....

Don replied, yer replacin' the bellows, Who Cares,.... Cut it oughta the way,....
'n it don't take alota heat in the bellhousin', right where the pin screws into it,... Yer just tryin' to soften the loc-tite,...

Lastly, I've never had, nor ever used the "Tool",...
Not when there's a 1/2" allen key in my toolbox,....
I see it as the 12pt. socket/ end-wrench Vs: the 6pt. socket/ end-wrench debate,... They Both work,.... ;)

When I bought my boat shop, it came with the tools, including a hinge pin tool. When I sold my boat shop, the tools came with me... :D
