I have a 135 hp 2.0 liter black max on an 18' avalon. when I put in and start my motor I get a beep, beep, beep for about 10 mins. At first I thought that it was an water pump issue but it doesn't stop when water starts coming out the discharge hole so I'm at a loss. After it stops and the motor is still in the water you can shut it off and start it back up when ever no alarm but if you let the water drain out of the motor then it's 10 mins of alarm again. Help!

Not much information to go (year?) on but i'm guessing the beeping is your oil indicator sensor. If the motor is several years old I would recommend disconnecting your sensor locating on the passenger side of your block. Its a small sensor which can be traced from your oil res. cont. Mix your own oil, sensors go bad.........just my opinion.

beep beep beep on a Mercury is usually the oil sensor. Not sure about that exact motor but I would look for issues with the oil tank sensor or oil injection system.

Solid beeeeeeep is an engine temp issue.

The big thing is that motor won't beep at you unless it's hurt bad, or about to get hurt bad. Don't run it till you figure it out.
