beep....beeep....beep...when motor is in the water

I have a mercury 150 efi outboard. runs well. fixed the problem with the reverse gear thanks to this forum. now when the engine is in the water and running, it keeps beepingbeepbeeepbeeep........ when I tilt the engine up, the beeping stops. oil is full both thanks, presure is ok, caps are tight... what could it be..

Sounds like an oil warning sensor gone bad.

My optimax used to do that until it flushed(peeing) Is yours flushing when the tilt is down or just up.
Yes it keeps beeping all the time as long as the motor is down.
when I tilt it up and out of the water, it stops beeping

Is the sensor you are talking about in the oil tank or in the reservoir on the motor itself?

I'll agree on the oil sensor and I'd bet the oil tank is in the engine.
