Been years, where are the places to go on upper Chesapeake

Got a 29 ft Donzi and am trailering till we find a suitable home port down there, but want to get it wet and been decades so know the haunts and etiquetttes have changed as well as the people. Looking to raft up, tube, wakeboard when teenagers are with, meet new boating friends, eat, drink, and be merry. saw another post with 8 yr old information and 1200 pages, so know alot has changed since that on started. Use to be at Tidewater Marina but want to see what is new since 1996, and status of dredging operations, have a maximum 3.5 ft draft, fyi
