Been along time need help

I have not been on a ski in 20 years and I am a big guy weighing 260. I used to be able to get up on one and now I cannot even get up on two. I start up then legs spread quickly. Any tips on how to get up would be appreciated!!!

keep your knees bent and squat low, you may need to strengthen the inner thigh muscles, they will be sore for a while till you do, start out low and work your way up, it may look a little funny with your butt almost hitting the water, but you will be able to work your way up to a more stylish stance once you get the hang of it, then once you get good at that try dropping a ski to go to solo ski

Also, what kind of boat are you getting up behind (length/horsepower), how long are your skis?
