bearing size

how do you know what size bearings to purchase<br />without taking them off first.I have a 19'<br />alum. boat on a ez loader with 14" tires.<br />no breaks.have bearing buddys on for 14 years<br />and never repacked them , but you guys are starting to scare me dont want to be the next<br />on the side of the road.

You can't tell unless the hubs are removed and numbers taken from the bearings or the spindles measured. There are numbers on the inner and outer bearing races. You can take the model number off the trailer and then call EZ-Loader to find out the 1) the bearing numbers, or 2) the spindle size (or both). With that information, any bearing house in town should be able to supply the bearings.

You can't always do it with only the spindle size. Hub sizes can vary on the same size spindle. But like already suggested, call EZ and ask them for numbers.
