Hey all. Driver's side bearing went bad. Replacing both sides, I've already replaced the "good" one.

When i went to replace the bad bearing, the bearing race stuck on. I used a bearing seperator tool to remove.

When I went to put new hub on, it won't slide on. Keeps getting stuck and won't budge right at the beginning. I know it's the right size because the other side went on fine.

If a spindle is damaged will this prevent the hub from sliding on? Does this spindle look bad? This is my first time ever doing this. Spindle in pic

Spindle is fine.....
Just need to file off the "ridges" that are keeping the bearing from sliding back on

just a little bit of galling there that needs to be cleaned up. 5 minutes with a file, and you will be back in business. Dont go nuts on it, just a couple of strokes with a file, test fit, rinse and repeat until the hub slides on nicely. When the bearing failed, it caught on the spindle, and caused the surface to rough up a bit. nothing major at this point

Also suggest a speeding sleeve for the seal area. That groove is horrible
