Hi guys....

I don't know how many of you may be in Canada but I was wondering if some of you might have some information about where to get stuff.

I am trying to figure out if/where you can get Bearing Buddy bearing protectors for your trailer hubs in Canada. I just want to go into a store, figure out the size I need and bring them home. If I absolutely have to I could have them shipped from anothr province but I would prefer not to do that. I definitely do not want to order them from across the border, since shipping from the places I was looking at cost more than the bearing buddies!

I can't find them listed on the web anyplace in Canada, but that is not unusual it seems - the USA seems to rule the Intarweb around these parts.

Anyone seen them? Canadian Tire? Any particular marine store in Ontario? I am out in a rural area and can't afford to run to a dozen places "just checking".

Thanks for any help.

If close to border of Minnesota than take a trip to Duluth and go to Northern Hydaraulics.
Made a search for Canada and apparently only Chinese bearings of any kind come up. Sorry.

I would search online for boat trailer parts, or boar trailers, or marine dealers. Then check their website or give them a call.

Never mind, I found them at Canadian Tire website. Not sure what brand they are:

http://www.canadiantire.ca/assortments/product_detail.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=1408474396670125&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474396670271&bmUID=1126079050021&PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845 524442405557&assortment=primary&fromSearch=true

Did you try Princess Auto in Kitchener? They often have a complete line of trailer items including bearings, axles, fenders, wheels, chains, rollers, lights....and more and more...

I could not find anything on the CT page even though I looked, but maybe it is because my closest store does not stock them.

I never even thought of Princess Auto. They are a couple of hours away, and their web page is pretty useless :)

Thanks for the info, I will try those places if I get a chance to be in that area.

Oops... I meant Kingston. :)
They have lots of locations. It is sort of like rolling the dice if they have -in stock- what you need.... but prices are generally lower than anywhere else. They sell complete axle/hub assemblies as well as all the components to build your own from scratch....bearing buddies (or equivalent) included.

I bet you could ask the local CT store to have a set transferred to your store.

Try Bass Pro in Vaughan (hwy 400 just North of 407). They go by trade name Trailer Buddy & they are in stock or can be ordered via web & shipped. Canadian Tire will transfer to your local store if you ask them.

Don't know if this is too late, but I did just buy a set at crappy tire. I've also seen them at Napa, Lordco and pretty much any other store with wheel parts.

At crappy tire, just look around where they sell hitch accessories and they should be hanging there.

"Bearing Buddies" is a trade name for a particular brand of bearing lubricators/protectors. There are several brands of these devices. Certainly an auto parts store or trailer shop would carry one or more of these devices. Also, marine supply stores.

Telephone? You may find shipping costs to be less than travel costs to and from the store. ;)
