quick question. the other day I noticed when I was pumping grease into one of my bearing buddies the eye (injection point not sure what it is called) came out with the grease gun. I was able to push it back in but I am wondering if I need to replace it before it causies me problems. I am not sure how old it is they came on the trailer when I bought it a couple of years ago.
Thanks

Re: bearing buddies

The bearing buddy zerk (or zert...not sure which is correct....I've heard it called both) has a nut on the back side of the bearing buddy to hold it in place. It sounds as if the nut came off and may be floating around inside the bearing buddy cap. If this is the case, you obvioiusly will need to take the cap off and secure the nut.

I am assuming this is the original Bearing Buddy brand. If it is another brand, I am not possitive how they are put together.

May as well take this opportunity to do a full bearing maintenance check. Will also give you peace of mind.
