I have replace the interior, starter, spark plus, and battery, but I have no power to the the ignition switch, even the motor tilt switch doesn't work. When replacing the gear shift, I found two wires the same color not connected to anything. I know I'm getting power to the starter, when I jump the starter, the altenator does ingage. What should I do next?

Could you please reword that so it makes some sense to the rest of us? Also include what model and year Volvo you have.

Forgive me I'm new at this. I have a 1983 Bayliner, with a volvo AQ125A, 4 cly., 270H. There is no neutral safety switch on the gear shift to attach the yellow/red loose wires to.

The best thing to do is find out what kind of control you have and get a neutral safety switch for it. If that is impossible, you should just get another control that has one.
To check your starting system to see if it works, just hook the two Yellow/Red striped wires together (That would allow power to the starter).
Just be sure you have it in neutral because it will start if in gear.
If the boat is now on the trailer, pull the prop off while checking things out.
