Don't you think knowing what that 8 terminal switch is for might be of help? We can't see your boat.

8 terminal is normally a 6 terminal with a built in light. The trouble is there are a lot of different designs for the switch and hundreds of ways you could be using it on your boat. Please tell us what the switch is used for and the make/model of the switch (should be written on the side) or post a picture of the switch

it is a carling illuminated toogle 0737R it is for the navigation lighs there are 7 wires and 8 connections. I called Byliner and they where no help. You would think the Carling website would give you the info that you need
