bayliner prop question

I have a 03 bayliner 175. 3.0 with alpha one out drive. I have a 14.25x19 prop and the rpm is running 5 k full throttle so I have to keep it down a little. I am told rpm should never exceed 4600. Any suggestion?

If the tach is correct, increasing the pitch to a 21"P should get you very close. In theory it should lower rpm ~ 200-250. I thought WOT of a Mercruiser 3.0 was 4800... The max rpm is usually located on the flame arrestor cover.

What is the speed at 5,000.You can run it briefly to get that.
I would suspect the tach is not accurate.

Speed is 32last mph at 5k.
