I'm planning on diesel-ising from Cobra 5.8l, hence need to decide what engine will suit.<br />Does anyone with same boat have success stories or advice ? How can petrol fuel tank be treated to handle diesel ? Is Ford Transit 2.5D (approx 100 BHP) too underpowered ? Is it sensible to avoid Turbo diesel given the extra heat generated ? Can an automotive starter<br />and alternator be modified for 'spark safe' marine use ? What is the K rating for 2455 hull ? What HP is lost through Cobra sterndrive ? At what speed does 2455 plane ? Is it tue that Cobra 5.8L delivers only 1.7 knots to a gallon ? I better stop asking questions now before this turns into an essay
