Is it missing an out board engine? Or was there an inboard in it? Do some reading on this forum to learn what you need to look for before buying any boat, ex: soft spots in the deck. The older Bayliners are known for it so check that for sure. If it's missing an out board, that is easy enough to find, new or used. A new out board will run you quite a bit. What size is the boat? There should be a capacity plate inside the boat & that will tell you what size motor the boat is rated for. Where are you from? I don't know how much "L1000" is in US dollars, also boat value varies drastically from one part of the country to another. Have someone that knows something about boats look it over for you.

Welcome,
The Capri series runs from 14ft to 20ft. bow riders ,cuddy cabin etc. I/O and outboard.
If you get us that info we may be able to help with a value.

Yeah, we could use more info, but I would lean towards no unless it is in very good shape cosmetically. That's about $1600 for a boat with no motor. Presuming it's an outboard, you might be able to get one for the 600-800 you are talking about but not super likely, and not in great shape. The motor will most likely cost you more than the boat for a decent size one in good mechanical condition.

Considering the motor is the major value on a 17yr old hull it couldn't be considered complete.
Its VERY incomplete.
If its a small capri its not worth it, if its a big un the engine will be expensive, you can't use auto engines, they have to be marinized.
If the trailer is worth the asking price and you need a trailer...maybe.

Gotta love the sellers who claim it "just needs" this or that, so why don't they just do it.
