Hi iBoats community,

My partner and I are purchasing our first boat. We are located in Seattle so we'll be mainly using the boat in lake and puget sound. After searching for our dream boats for months, we initially wanted a Sea Ray Sundancer or Chaparral, but inventory has been scarce lately, almost to the point where people were bidding at or above listed price.

We found a newer Bayliner 315 (2012) that fits our budget - it doesn't have a generator, but not a deal breaker since it'd be rare that we would anchor and spend multiple nights. We aren't able to find much information or reviews online. Has anyone owned this (or similar Bayliner)? Any issues you've seen on the boat?

Thank you for all your insights!

At this point its more then 5yrs old, how well it was maintained, cared for and kept dry & covered is more likely to yield a good or bad decision much more then how others review the boat.

What drive line? Not an I/O cruiser owner so I dont know if it was a single or twin engine nor who might have supplied the engine & outdrive.

Fortunately you are newer then the frightful production values on 1990 Bayliners.

Put hands & eyes on the 2012 315 yet?

Bayliner is owned by Brunswick...Merc....so that's what you'll find. As to how powerful....well that's anyone's guess as Bayliners are customizable in that regard.

Can't help ya beyond that as my budget is a tad bit smaller than a 30'....assuming that's the size based off model.
