The starting battery on my 50 hp TLDI Tohatsu died after three years and I'm having a hard time finding a replacement. About the largest battery under $200 I can find has a cca rating of 800 and a ca rating of 1000. The manual states that a 850 cca battery is necessary. I read that the difference between a cca and ca test is that the ca is rated at 32 deg. rather than 0 deg. Since I don't run the motor in below freezing weather, will the 800 cca/1000 ca battery work?
