STILL NEW TO BOATING BEEN HAVING TROUBLE GETTING MY FORCE 150 STARTED. I HAD THE STATER REBUILT CHARGE THE BATTERY. TURN THE KEY AND STATER TURNS KINDA SLOW AND THEN NOTHING. LOOKED AT THE BATTERY AND THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL WAS MELTED. WHAT DO YA THINK AND ALSO COULD THE BATTERY STILL BE USED NO ACID WAS LEAKING. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

Be sure all connections are clean and tight.At the battery and the motor. Get a hydrometer and check the acid in the battery (one with a float that has numbers.) Fully charged battery at room temp. should read 1250 or so no more than 20 pts.diff. cell to<br />cell. If it doesnt measure up replace.<br /> Spike
