I run a triple battery system and as you can imagine with 3 full sized batteries sitting at the transom area it adds a considerable amount of weight. I am considering moving the load towards center which would place the weight under my center console where I have plenty of room. My concern is running the battery cables about 15' through the hull tunnel. Do ya'll think that's too far of a run?

Re: Battery location

That would be no problem at all as long as the battery cable is sized properly. Most manufacturers will specify sizes and distances for extending battery cables in thier rigging instructions or you can do the math yourself to come up with the proper size cables.

Agree with Auger and will add, the area where you want to put the batteries it needs to be well ventilated for lead acid type, no so much for AGM or Gel

Re: Battery location

That's a good price AllDodge and I like the customer ordering option!

I checked with iboats and they don't stock anything other than what's on the site and those are too short.

Thanks for the new option!
