Hung voltmeter across battery with engine running at fast idle and meter read less than 12 volts.I charged the battery last week(it was dead)so I thought I had better check the charging circuit.It looks like its not working.The 2 yellow wires from the stator are bare in spots,looks like they have been hot at some time in the past.Some of the stator resistance readings are not correct also.I plan on replacing the stator and rectifier and hope that cures most of my problems.Engine is a 85 Merc 115hp inline 6.
