I have a fixed mounted charger that dosen't seem to want to work...I measured 12V coming out toward the batterys but it is wired into the battery bank switch....Is there a fuse prior or after the main battery switch ??

Hi Sea Hag,
There could be a fuse in line, it all depends on your setup. If you have charge output voltage at the charger then disconnect the battery that you have selected and measure the voltage on the lead that you just disconnected if you don't have the same voltage there then you either have a bad switch, bad wire, or there is indeed a blown fuse in the circuit.
Let us know

Hey AR....A

Great idea !! I did just what you suggested and registered the 12 V at the battery w/ the battery cable detached. It must have been a fraction of the proper amperage...The clincher that the charger is suspect is when I used my 10amp auto charger to see what kind of load the batterys took..(To see if they were weak).. They took all 10amps pegged for a number of hours.. I thought chargers always worked & NEVER broke...(The simplicity of them). The lesson here is that if it's on a boat, it can break...go figure !!
