I have a 1994 merc 175 hp carbureated eng. It apears to have the dual regulator, 40 amp system, according to the manual I got. The bat voltage that registers on my fishfinder with the engine running is just that, battery voltage, 13.1 or so, and it goes down with use. Is this a common problem? Do I need to replace one or both regulators?

Re: BATTERY CHARGE

No you need to do some testing first. Could be a bad stator. Give serial number and we can look up the engine to see what she has installed.
