Battery Cable for 25 hp Johnson (electric start)

I can't seem to find original equipment manufacture (OEM) battery cable for my motor. I moved the battery further away from the motor and need about 12ft of the battery cable. It looks like lamp cord, except it is 8 awg I think. Where can I get the cable?? Should I go with 6 awg since I'm going further??

You can buy bulk battery cable at NAPA stores and others. No need to have the original style. Red and Black #6 with some connectors will do it...

I would be inclined to use #4 or bigger. You can't have battery cables that are too big.

# 4 would be the smallest I would use. That does not make it correct.
