I have a 2003 280 sundancer. Two 5.0MPI's. It has three batteries (12volt).
two are in series, and one stands alone. Two batt. switches. one on / off
the other 1/ 2 /both/off. Which is the House and which is the start. Which one or ones should be deep cycle, if any?

Re: Batteries

the ones connected in series are most likely your house battery the on off switch should be connected only to one start battery. the other engines starter is connected to the on off both switch house batteries the ones in paralell should always be deep cycle but your start battery should have enough cranking amps to turn over a v-8 motor 875-1000 cca. you can purchase dual purpose batteries and that will solve it go to auto zone if you have one nearby for around 75 bucks they have em dual marine deep cycle happy boating
