I purchased a 95 WR III. The battery was new but had a winter storage with no trickle charge. After charging it myself, it will fire up for a few days perfectly. But about a week after the charging it seems to have no juice left. Are there systems on these skis that charge the batteries (alternator types)? Is the problem just the battery? What is a fair price for a new battery?

Re: Batteries/charging systems

charge the bettery and put a volt meter on it, it should read around 13 volts, with the meter still on the battery hit the starter and see how low the voltage drops while it is cranking the starter, it should not go below 11 volts, with the engine running see if the meter reads 14 volts if so your charging system is working and you need a new battery.
