For 9k? Yep, would be for me, even though boat probably doesnt leak and the dent probably doesnt effect performance......

Ouch......

A couple thousand more then your local market would list for just the used trailer and good running used outboard.

Boats, trailers and outboard proces vary locally so for you in your market I couldnt really tell ya.

Look up NADA w your zip, and see what those #s ar, rough guide only, historically not 100% accurate, but ya gotta start somewhere

In my area, he's asking about average retail, if its got a 35-50hp outboard

So high by at least several $K

Thats w no options added for the boat or trailer, NADA will walk you thru adding them if you happen to have that info....

You didn't list enough specs to get a handle on the price. Some of those run 40hp others 115. My similar 17 1/2 was rated for 135 but had a 90 2 stroke, carb, ELPT. Some run new engines with all the EFI and all that and some don't. 2011 isn't all that old of a boat especially if it was a garage queen and had a responsible caretaker.

I run alum boats and have since 1990's or thereabouts. They accumulate dents. Current boat has a dent on the gunwale, and a few on the hull. Rip rap is tough on alum. I try to avoid it. Running over stumps is hard on aluminum. But it stays the course.

the dent is cosmetic

plenty of non-dented ones sold between $7500 and $8500 across the US this past spring based on a quick google search of selling sites.

I wouldnt offer more than $7

I'm afraid that boat would be a no-go here. That dent would draw my attention every time I walked by it like steel to a magnet. Nothing from a functional standpoint, but a very difficult repair. My boat's don't need to be perfect, but I would struggle with that.

Every time I looked at that dent, I would think of the 3 or 4 grand I saved on the boat and SMILE ! :)

Ditto. My boat has all kinds of minor scrapes and dings, but something that large would drive me crazy...
