bass pro shop brand reeels

anyone know who manufactures the mega cast line of reels for bass pro shops? does anyone use these? or have used them? just looking for some info.

I've got a MegaCast MC-1. It seems ok. I've only used it a half dozen times.<br />I picked it up a year ago, along with a Shimano Bantam Crestfire. I like the Shimano better. It feels a little more solid, and the magnetic spool control is easier to adjust.<br /><br />Both seem to work well, with the limited use they have had. I prefer spinning reels for most of my fishing.

i was thinking of picking me up a couple of them for down lines when striper fishing. i,m not worried about their casting ability, just their being able to fight and hold on to 8-15 lb stripers. (that's about the average size here at badin lake).

I've used a bass pro shops spinning reel and really like it, saved some cash so I bought two!!!!
