Re: bass lakes

i would go with a tube/watermelon red flake seems to work well on humps along with a chartruse spinnerbait and a jerkbait/wildshiner or luckycraft.

Re: bass lakes

I live about 25 minutes from Pickwick, and I can tell you, there is not a better place in the South that you can RELIABLY catch both Smallies and Bucketmoufs in the fall. Focus on the humps, drops, and if the weather cools a little bit more, hitting wind-blown main-lake points using crankbaits will slaughter smallies. And if it gets cool enough, the bucketmoufs will start moving into the back of the main tributaries feeding on shad.

Re: bass lakes

Try Bear, and Yellow creeks, look for the offshore humps and ledges for numbers in sept, and start moving a little shallower in oct. Again, if it gets cooler this year, watch those windblown points on the main lake. I would recommend getting a lake make with topo and bottom features. You can get on at all the local shops.

Give me a call if you come to pre-fish and I might be able to get away to show you a couple spots.

662-416-4690
david
