ever since i got that little pontoon boat ,, a glorified float tube,,i.e. floatin'lawn chair,, i've been havin' a blast..!! <br /><br />i have'nt even been out on my cc/ob since.. of coarse ,, with a the rain we've had ,,the waterways are down right nasty..the paper called last weeks rain/flood the '500 YEAR FLOOD'..!! good lord...<br /><br />but where i've been bass'n are little mill ponds an the one's down lower state is mostly sand an the big rains really don't hurt.. still clear a drinkwater..<br /><br />i only fish ONLY where there's no boat launch.. if there's no access ,, it's for me..<br /><br />fish don't have a clue... <br /><br />haven't been catchin' any big bass .. average 1 1/2 to 3 lbs... some 4's sprinkled in.. but have been catchin' major big pickerel.. 2 1/2 footers.. <br /><br />like yesterday,, caught a big pick on a long cast.. he jumped out the water twice .. thought it was a bass.. been pond fishin' since i was 9 an i NEEEEVER EVEEER seen a pick jump water..!! <br /><br />got 'em up near the float boat,, an went under it.. SNAAAAAP.. there goes my 100 buc BASS PRO QUAILFIER rod.. think now there 130 bucs...<br /><br />pulled the big nasty pick in by hand an releashed 'em...<br /><br /> SHOULDA ATE 'EM....<br /><br />bought some 'stinky juice' by KICK'N BASS a week or so ago.. havta say,, i wont go fishin' without it.. <br /><br />it mite not attract more fish,, but it makes 'em hold on longer..<br /><br />been missin' lot's a fish.. an it really irks the heck outta me... i hate to miss a fish...!!<br /><br />mostly fish tex-rigged weightless rubber.. ponds only average 2 to 4 feet deep.. an stumps ,blow downs, a pads abound.. nothin'else works 'cept small small shallow runnin' crankbaits..<br /><br />use on POWER-PRO braidline.. you can feel every little tap.. an the picks don't cut it as with mono.. use 20 lb test ( the size of 4 lb mono )<br /><br />usin' my secret weapon.. a saltwater inshore berkely 7in. sandworm( cammo )... nobody uses them for bass cause they're toted for saltwater..<br /><br />they drop verrry verrry slow an pull them along,, they roll an ripple in a 'S'like wave motion.. since they're long an flat centipede shape.. <br /><br />tap-tap.. istop.. tap-tap.. i freeze.. tap-tap.. nothin' now... i let it sit..30 seconds pass.. so i SLOOOOWLY lift the rod.. TAP-TAP.. ( the sucker's still on ) let it sit..another 30 seconds.. lift the rod.. TAP-TAP..<br /><br /> STILL THERE.. ( IT'S ABSOLUTELY KILLIN' ME NOW..!! I'M ONLY HUMAN ..!! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE ) <br /><br />finally after another long wait.. the line begins to move.. goes a good 20 foot an a yoke it in the opposite direction.. <br /><br />missed ... <br /><br />glad i don't carry a handgun or DYNAMITE on board..!!<br /><br /> <br />o'yeah,, seem a golden eagle ... was bein' harrassed by crows ..come flew right low an across my sightpath an landed in a pine tree.. crows actually where flyin' into him as e sat.. <br /><br />seen many many bald eagles but never a golden... <br /><br />i love it..!!
Still sounds like a great time to me.<br /><br />Really neat about the Golden Eagle.
