Just sold a 2005 Shelby GT Coupe Serial # 3 for five hundred thirty thousand dollars. <br /><br />The money will be donated to Carroll Shelby's Childrens Foundation.<br /><br />Also sold, was a 1947 Bently Franay Mark VI for one million six hundred thousand dollars which broke the old top selling Barrett-jackson record of South Florida of one million sixty two thousand dollars.

That Bently should have brought at least 3 million. Collectors' tastes have changed a lot when a Chebby brings more bux than a Ferrari 355.<br /><br />Few bright spots. Mostly a parade of GM muscle cars and Corvettes with a few FoMoCo muscle cars.<br /><br />Can't seem to get excited about 50s-70s detroit iron. Guess it's because of my age. I spent most of the time bored out of my gourd.

A one off Harley Earl Oldsmobile sold for 3 million last year. !!!!!

Something is worth what someone else is willing to pay.<br /><br />It is the "Greater Fool Theory" of investing, where whatever price you may pay, you count on a greater fool than you at some point in time will pay more.<br /><br />On Edgar Kaiser's compound in the San Juan islands, they had at least one of each car model Kaiser Industries ever built, all brand new and unused. Have not been there in years, and not sure they still have them, but I was always curious what they would bring at auction.

WOW, just the sales tax on just one of em would pay off all my debt! and maybe have some left over to buy a new boat!
