Ok, so Mrs. Bubba loves horror shows and movies and her latest is "The Walking Dead". (Typical post apocalyptic world filled with zombies type show.) It was on last night and I sat and watched it with her but it didn?t go well because, um, because I said the plot was DUMB and no one could really be as dumb as the shows characters. I mean come on, no one can find a safe vehicle in the entire city of Atlanta? Say an armored truck to simply drive through / over the zombies. No one thinks to make Molotov cocktails? The best weapons you can lay hands on are pistols and bolt action rifles? Of course there is always the ?let our party get split up so we can be picked off easily? type of story writing.

Ok dear, I?ll go play on the computer so you can watch your show? :p

Yes they do...and they get little eco-vehicles and drive in front of me 15 mph under the posted speed limit with their left turn signal on! You can tell they're zombies by their extremely slow gait and withered appearance, although they have developed a penchant for disguises, mainly excessive eye shadow and blue hair. They have also figured out how to use tools as weapons and keep them cleverly concealed as canes and walkers with tennis balls on the feet.

I'm not much of a horror movie fan either, but I did think that "Zombieland" was pretty humorous.

LOL!! That would make a hysterical movie - kind of a "Weekend at Bernies" type of film.

Too funny... my wife is also a horror fan and best to leave the room when logic is not in the script... not worth ruining the movie for the logically challenged!! :D

I'll open my mouth with why don't they just .... you know... whatever makes sense.. and the response is shut up and watch it or leave the room!! :D :D

Agreed Shawn of the dead was good. Zombie land had its moments. As far as a weapon of choice baseball bat or katana, you dont have to reload either of them. At least have one of them as a back up if you run out of ammo.

I watch Walking Dead, mainly because I like decently made zombie films and, as far as TV goes, this isn't too bad. The make up and special effects are pretty good, even if the specifics of the plot aren't the greatest.

I always said the same thing...Soooo many vehicles on the road, gas/water/safety shouldn't be an issue. Soooo many military outposts were shown with .50 cal weapons, how in the world did slow moving zombies overtake them? Soooo many houses, apartment buildings, shopping centers, hospitals, malls, etc are available, why would you hang out in an open campground? But, there has to be action, suspense, and fright to make it more interesting. I take it for what it's worth...entertainment for an hour a week.

It's either this or I stumble onto the Kardashian's show and there would be a definite possibility of me eating a bullet!

There are those who would be tucked away, safe and sound within well fortified, protected shelters. They'll go through mundane, everyday motions of living within a protected shelter without intrusion by zombies... Doesn't make for much of a plot, though.:p In our society, inteligence and logic have little entertainment value.
