I have bought a nitro bass boat that is on a unidentifiable trailer. I measured the boat weight at 2400 lb. To get my tongue weight to 240 lbs I moved the axle back 6". Weighed with bathroom scale at 15" ball mount height. At 15" the frame to ground measurement in front is 14.5" and 17.5 at rear of frame. If I raise the front ball mount to level the boat out, I will exceed the travel distance of my jack. The boat trailers find. Will there be any issues if I leave it thas way?I also do not have trailer brakes. WIll this be an issue? If so where can I buy a complete electric trailer package?

Re: ball height

First, if you are concerned about the height restriction of the tounge jack, buy one with more travel.<br />As for brakes, most states they are not required for boats till you break 3,000 pounds. What are you towing with, do you have enough tow vehical weight to control the trailer in a emergency stop. It's not fun to get passed on the left buy your own boat.
