Bad news another storm coming, good news, full of warm water

YUP!!!, Pineapple express on the way.
We broke freezing for the first time since November yesterday, and the rain took the snow down a little, big storm expected tomorrow morning and the driveway should be almost bare by Sunday when the temp should be 12c above zero.


I sure hope springs finally here, now welcome to flood season.

Michigan has it's first above freezing day today in months and I'll bet it's 40 degrees American LOL. I have snow piles 4-5 feet tall on my deck out back. Will be up north sledding this weekend, but we wont have too many good snow days left. It was one of the best winters I can recall in a couple decades. What winter should be like.

There is a huge snow pack this year, you would be able to sled here above the 5000 foot mark till end of may and above the 7000 foot mark till July.

Worst sun burn ever, sledding in shorts and a T shirt, need sun block 1 million. LOL

Just came back from helping the neighbour out, his driveway was starting to break up with the warmth so I took our tractor and attempted to cut the built up snow off of it.
6-8 inches of hard pack snow is a PITA, and I need a new cutting edge on the font blade.

Built a fire outside last night in the fire pit and roasted some weenies, probably would have stayed outside enjoying it more if it was not raining.

Sunny and warm winds this morning, Chinook the snow eater.

90% drive way clear of snow and ice, still need to clear the 6 inches from the parking area.

Yup Best winter for Snowpack in the Rocky Mountains in 20 years, and we are just now starting to get into the most productive months for moisture laden snow!!

But yeah I am ready to splash the boat too LOL

Anyway I can wait a couple months in favor of filling or reservoirs!!

We have patches of green grass here and there but the deer, elk and other animals are all over it, Got the Harley out today for some knees in the breeze action, was a really good day!

I cant wait for the boating season too begin just hope the melt is not too fast. Last year we had flooding and boats floating off jack stands as I waded into 4 feet of frigid water while it was snowing. Keeping my neighbors boats from floating down the river. The marina next door had millions of dollars in damages while are harbor was damage free due to a group of die hard crazy fools like myself. Please prey for a slow steady safe melt.

Yep, Spring is here in Central Pennsylvania. Put my knee high barn boots away this week end and did all my chores in midcalf ones. Another couple of weeks I hope to be just wearing my Muckers.

Throwing snow from the side of the driveway onto the bare gravel to make things melt faster, still got 2+ feet of snow to go in the yard and field.
