Hi!

Just put my boat in the sea for the summer. Working great for some time, but suddenly it was like it loose the power in the water. Finally i could only give very little gas to be able to go forward at all.

When giving more gas, the motor rush but the forward movement stops. It almost feel like the propeller is slipping!?

And also when i put reverse in, it only moves the water put doesnt make the boat move at all.

Any idea what this could be?

My brother changed the propeller. So probably it has something to do with that... I guess. But what?

Welcome to iboats.

Possibly you have a spun hub on the prop.

Read this http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=437460

I personally use a sharpie marker and mark the hub, nut, and prop with a straight line and run the boat........ check the marks and if they moved then you need a hub pressed in or a new prop.

Why did your brother change the prop?
I'd check and make sure that there is not an obvious problem with his installation.

Did he tighten the nut properly.... use a cotter pin...etc.
Might be something simple.
