Bad Block 4.3 Penta, have 4.3 Merc. Swap?

I recently got my hands on a 01 Glastron with a 4.3 Volvo motor that has a cracked block. I bought it because I happen to have a 2005 Mercury Bravo 4.3L motor with an ALpha one gen 1 outdrive. Couple of questions...

1. I hear the blocks are exactly the same, correct?

2. The Merc is carbed, the Volvo is MPI, the Volvo is rated at 220+ horse, the Merc 190. Is that just the MPI, or also the heads or anything else?

3. Can I put the MPI manifold on the Merc block in place of the 2_barrel carb and manifold make my merc engine fuel injected?

4. I think the outdrive is okay on the Volvo, but if it is not, what all do I need to use my Alpha one outdrive? Will the transom holes line up? Will I just need toe gimbal housing things?

5. To just swap motor for motor (no outdrive change) if I understand correctly, from what I have read... I will need to use the Volvo coupler, and exhaust system/risers, and the Bravo sea-pump. Anything else I am missing to make this swap?

I really appreciate any help with this, Thank You.

Merc and Volvo used the same 4.3 Long block. As long as you use the merc longblock and use all the Volvo accessories you shouldn't have problems. As far as the drive, you can't stick a Mercruiser drive on a Volvo transom shield.

Just an FYI if anyone finds this thread in a search. I did the swap over this last weekend. I ended up using the Risers, Exhaust manifolds, motor mounts, throttle bracket, bell housing, coupler, thermostat housing and a few new hoses. Otherwise i kept everything on the new Merc Bravo motor. I am using the bravo pulley sea pump. Forgot to mention, the Volvo 4.3 was not fuel injected, I thought it was before I got it, turns out it was carb.
