Bad Bearings?????

Need your help , I think i thew a bearing out grease all over the rim, play in the wheel .Single axle older trailor .How do i fix what else do i look for :cool:

Try a search on this site with phrases like bearing failure, how to change bearings, etc. That should turn up plenty of reading and knowledge for you.<br /><br />DougV>

Simple,<br /><br />Pry the dust cap off of the hub.<br /><br />Remove the cotter pin and the spindle ut.<br /><br />Pull the whole hub off.<br /><br />Let us know what you find.

Dj I will post tommorow on update , never even attempted this before , hope i can fix it myself , i have just greased bearing buddy and thats it , Thanks i will let you know

Item #4 and #5 in Tommays post are the inner and outer bearing races. These are press fit in the hub. They can be driven out with a drift punch. They must be installed using a bearing driver or you run the risk of cracking them using any other method.

That must be a magic wheel hub because I see no nut or cotter pin to hold it on the spindle.<br /><br />Sorry, couldn't resist.
