if i wanted to get a set of centerline car rims and put trailer tires on them and use them on my boat trailer ,,,what backspacing would i need or what range would be usable...
Measure your current trailer wheel backspacing to be certain. Then check clearance between the inside of the tire and anything it can contact. Measure that space. You now have the range you can work with. If you look at most trailer wheels, the hubs are pretty well centered. Anything from a front drive car will likely not work. Most standard rear-drife wheels with the same bolt pattern will.
