Well, Im back in a boat after about a decade now without. Life kicked me hard in the cajones, had to move, sell the boat, move again, and then bought a house and tow vehicle... so naturally, the wife thought the best thing to do would be to buy a boat. Since we didnt learn anything from the last two we had, we got a basket case. Its just a little 16 foot Galaxy v-hull with a 2.5l Mercruiser leg on it. Dont know how it runs yet, when I went to start cleaning out the interior (all sun damaged and needing replacement) my foot went through the deck..... yeah, I've been down this road before, so pulled the mulch and old fiberglass out, and all fresh wood has been installed. Hopefully will finish with the glassing in tomorrow, I have too much going on today. Then I can start getting it mechanically ready to go. Been sitting since 2014, so all new rubber is in order, along with checking all electrical. Should be about a brand new boat (that looks like it needs a repaint) by the time I'm done with it. 4.3L V6 conversion?? Since you're going to be tearing it down to the bare hull anyways.

Nope. It’s staying as the 2.5 for now. If I was gonna convert it. It would go all the way to a 5.7. Would be massively overpowered, but also a hell of a lot of fun. If I gotta fabricate, let’s go all in!!
