Automotive Compression Tester for outboard Engine

Hi All,

I'm trying to purchase a compression tester to do some work on my 1998 70HP Johnson.
Will an automotive compression tester (0-300 psi) with 14 & 18 mm Spark Plug holes adapters work for my Engine (and others)

If not, can anyone make a recommendation on a compression tester that will work?

All help appreciated.

That's what we all use. Mine goes up to 250 psi.

I just have my neighbor put his mouth on the hole, if his ears inflate then I know the compression is good.
