Automatic Fuse Replacement 841178 with generic ??

Long time no post. Been having great fun with the boat. Lotsa great information here.

I am elbows deep in a head gasket replacement on my aq131 / vp275. With the head off I decided to give the engine a "rattle can " rebuild. When removing the wiring I noticed that the wires to the fuse ( 841178 ) are very brittle. I cannot remove the screw from the fuse to re-solder the wires due to rust. I have called around and a Volvo replacement part will be $60 + shipping ( OMG !! )

Can any 12v / 30 amp fuse be used in place of the Volvo unit ???

You want to use an ignition protected/waterproof one.

Thx for the suggestion ! I went to the local "electronics alley" and picked up a reset-able 30 amp breaker originally made for marine audio system for $ 10.00.
