automatic boat loaders

hmm, here in BC we seem to have two choices for an automatic boat loader for 10-16ft aluminum roof top mounting. with our truck, gmc dually. we have a slide in camper and 12ft aluminum boat on a trailer. well the wife wanting more storage got her wish and we bought a rv trailer with the intent on getting an automatic boat loader. does anyone know of any other companies that make such a gizmo. i know eide used to but appear to be out of business. for those that want to know what i am talking about here is the link. http://loadit.com/ or http://www.loadmyboat.com/ Ed

never seen one but very interesting. with that and a front receiver hitch with a motor mount for the outboard. would be great.

i talked to the guys from both companies as they were both at the boat show here. you can get front or rear loaders. i was kind of hoping there was a maker or distributor in the USA who sells them cheaper. they are roughly 2 grand canadian. and there aren't many listed on craigslist. guess when someone has one they don't like to sell them. of the ones listed they seem to be old and getting a motor might be a hassle should i ever need one. seems like you could make the frame your self and then use a small winch like on a atv.

Recreation industries co. still handles the Edie boat loader. The are in Oregon.

I bought a truck recently and it had a boatloader on the box with a superwinch. not sure if I will keep it and wondered what it was worth.
