OK I know all about the "Auto Blow" reputation, but I have a reason I want to run by you guys.
The reason I want a mixing system is that the boat provides a fuel storage tank that is recycled fairly regularly and would stay relatively fresh for emergency use,
Having 15 gallons of unmixed fuel available for generators would be a good thing.
Even if it was mixed maybe 100:1 where the generators might tolerate it could be a compromise and the Auto Blend 50:1 would be a little heavy, but OK.
The Auto Blend I have seems to be in good condition and I can make sure it is a good installation etc.
The drawback is that the alarm system only indicates low oil and not the actual blending of the oil.
Is there any way to confirm the fuel has oil mixed?
Just asking for a friend...

Unhook the fuel line from first carb and pump it into a glass jar.
Should have the color of the oil.
The auto blend is a Mercury product and they usually work well.
That said, even a Yam can have a faulty oil system.
